Well guys have been soooo busy getting ready for the coming winter months, clearing out the garage for the best load of logs yet, have so many now and still more to come woop woop so pleased,2/3 yrs seasoned to so got a good deal and also next years too, need a bigger log shed!, Just need to get the coal in now, but expensive so will only get half now and the rest later on -----also planted out 92 pansies all grown from seed, they are still tiny but hoping they will become nice little plants if the mice leave them alone. Lots to do in the garden, baskets passed their best and most tubs too now want to try and keep my best plants over winter so trying to sort out enough room in the greenhouse for them mmm, need a bigger one of that too, roll on this beautiful Atumm it's stunning sun set tonight was lovely and the stars also crystal clear, wish I could read them or had a telescope to see them better.Kristina
because we so spectacularly didn't move house, we had cleared out all rubbish and junk from 3 sheds and the loft, I had potted up any plants I wanted to take with me, so a lot of the winter work is done..and chimneys are swept! George is building a double garage over the weekends which will make the winter easier, he leaves for work at stupid o clock some mornings and its really no fun scraping ice at 5am in the dark, so that will be better. I have put curtains up at the doors and draught excluders, rugs down on any hard floors and started a collection of wood to burn. have bought new batteries for all the torches and flashing dog collars, will get a bag or two of rock salt to store in the garage and that's us about ready - snow shovels are in easy reach! ooh and got a lovely new coat for Bootsie from wainwrights(food) cupes is getting a new padded raincoat but they do cost a bit so have to but them one at a time. the old ones will still be used - the smaller ones that he has grown out of will be given to dogs in foster care

:|Yes me too Adrianne I need to put cutains up over front and garden doors Xena has a coat too but now not sure if it will fit her she has grown bigger than I thought she might and getting one on her will be a challenge too, she hates anything like that, silly girl some times, so she gets very wet when it rains but she has yet to go through her first winter as a grown up dog as she was only tiny last winter and never really went out in the freezing cold or the wet also last year I felt we did not have a bad winter at all.Kristina
We always have a seemingly never ending supply of torches, a Tim is obsessed with them! Bought Sara a nice new waterproof coat for when it rains, and she has her fleecy one from a couple of years ago if it gets cold and icy again. As for the house, we're really luck that we bought it brand new, so it's lovely and warm and insulated....have got my lovely blanket for snuggling up on the sofa as well, so my plans for a toasty winter are in place. The only thing I worry about is my poor little car, I hope it lasts through the winter and that it isn't another soggy one like the last one! It killed the battery, got in through somewhere an made the inside a haven for mould...yuck!!
