Guess i'm going to have to get used to this now i have a tripawd dog! The neighbours and that are fine but strangers dont have gawp. I've had some very queer looks when they see Domino but today at last someone spoke. We were at the vets to get Dominos stitches out and i was speaking to a friend outside when a nice young man came along and stopped to enquire what had happened. He was really concerned for him, unlike the people with their dogs in the vets, not one spoke as they squinted out the corner of their eye to look at Domino. Weird!
It's bizarre how people react to something that's not "normal"! But it also boggles the mind that, when people aren't sure how to react, they think that staring is an appropriate reaction!
I must admit when I see a tripod dog, or anything that catches my eye, I do have a look. It's human nature! But I always keep the stare to a minimum, and then I either go over to talk, look away and carry on with what I was doing, or smile at what I see.
Personally if I see a tripawd dog I have to over to it and ask why thats coz I am interested they are amazing so adaptable to their disability,if I am in the vets I ask other people who are there whats wrong with their dogs too some times they chat and one can learn stuff too, some people just look at you and ignor, their problem too!!
