Stray Animal Rescue Bulgaria is a charity close to my heart, as it's where Rascal and his siblings are currently being cared for while we wait to see if they'll survive Distemper and be able to come to the UK to find loving new homes. These people are for whom the phrase "heart of gold" was coined, as most days there's a story of how one of them was driving somewhere and saw an abandoned/neglected/discarded animal by the side of the road, in need of somebody to care. They rely solely on donations, and whatever they can afford out of their own pockets, and take on cases that most would think a waste of time/effort/money and leave to their own fate.

SAR is a community of rescuers based in Bulgaria, dedicated to feeding and treating the many street dogs and cats in need and try to find them new homes.
Dear friends! Welcome to this new Page fully dedicated to rescuing stray cats and dogs or any other furball from the cruel streets of Bulgaria. This is a Page that will focus on animals in dire straits - neglected, abused, disabled, starved... animals that carry a psychological trauma from being subjected to despicable cruelty by subhumans, animals that need a home and most of all our LOVE ♥
Please, look around the albums and maybe you can find your new pet, your companion in life, your dearest friend. Stray animals in Bulgaria are being killed by the numbers each and every day and there is no mercy when they get into the hands of heartless psychos. Help us care for the most vulnerable ones, the easy prey - abandoned pups and kitties, sick and old, those who have lost hope and are giving up on life.
We need your support- we need homes, fosters, food, medications. We need to raise funds, so we can treat the more complicated cases or neuter, so we can help resolve the problem with the overpopulation.
We will run a "Sponsor a dog/cat" initiative, so even if you lack space, you could still help an animal that has touched your heart.
All the donations we will receive will be spent entirely and only for the well being of these most unfortunate darlings. You could be a part of something astonishing and help us save a life! Each and every life is precious and we will make sure that together with your help and support, we save as many as we can and even more
