Lordy this now getting worse and has now made the local news 4 king charles spaniels all bitches 1 very old have been taken from a house which these evil people broke into and took them,just 7 miles away from me,I know the area a very quiet little village much like our own just so scary right now,the poor owner beside herself,taking dogs from gardens is one thing breaking into peoples homes totally another this is so not good.Kristina

Stay safe! Might be worth seeing what offers are available in terms of a burglar alarm? You can get them linked to a hotline that will notify the police if it's activated. My dad runs a successful intruder alarm company, and says that stats show just having the alarm box on the outside your house is enough to deter most would-be intruders.

Yes your right Kimmikins also now so afraid to take Xena even out in the car as she always comes shopping with me,it's a nightmare up here,she is fed any way so a car ride for her is an outing and gives her a bit of outside interest but not at the moment so she is restricted always,and I am pretty fed up too.Kristina

Oh dear god that is just awful, cant believe they actually broke in to steal these dogs. An oppertune snatch from a garden is bad enough but this is riddiculous, really bad! I do hope they get caught and the dogs found safe.

I stopped a girl in my local park, I recognised the dog - he had been a client and wasn't with the owner, I sent Cupar over 'cos I knew the wee dog would go mental playing with him..that gave me a chance to find out who she was! just a new dog walker ..I don't suppose anyone snatching a dog would calmly walk through the local park but how would you know? we al need to take a bigger interest in the welfare of our local dogs.

It's truly a nightmare up here right now more stories coming through more dogs gone some people are saying about getting their dogs ears tattoed no way would I do that if these people are evil they would just cut the ears off!!!!Also they are saying about selling these dogs on via the internet well for gods sake anyone would know their own dogs if they were advertised I personally feel they are for puppy farming or Dog Baiting,just wish they would be caught and all dogs returned to some very distressed owners in the meantime extra care is taken  by all the people I know with their own dogs.Kristina
