Do you remember the video of Domino out for a walk with Bailey, Maisy and Sacha. Well Maisy the black Lab only 6 year old had to be put to sleep today. She had been limping and after course of anti-inflammatory failed they xrayed and found advanced bone tumour. So after a couple days they decided to let her go now , rather than later when shes in more pain. Vet sid she probably would only live for 6 months if that as there was signs it had spread through her body. its upset me more than I expected. I'm heading over there tomorrow, it will be strange not having her big hugs and kisses when I go in.
that is so sad, I hope that they get some happiness from the lovely fun filled walks and times that they gave her. Her life may have been short, but they obviously cared that it was a very high quality life...I hope that they go on to give that to another lucky dog as soon as they are able.

That really is very sad, she was so young. They did the kindest thing, although I can't imagine how horrible it must have been to make that decision. I can only echo what Adrianne said, they are clearly a very loving family and I hope that another dog finds their way to them soon.
Sending hugs to you, too; losing any dog from our lives is always heart-wrenching.
I'm sure they will rescue another dog in the future especially as sacha is getting on in years. I cant see them not having a dog somehow. Seems Maisys brother had same condition and had to be PTS when he was only four!
