I think we had about 17 dogs with us today on our pack walk, it stayed dry and was cool but not cold as there is hardly any wind, so it was great walking conditions.
I picked Anya up early from her owners so I could burn off a bit of her excitement beforehand as she missed last months walk and was appalling on the walk the month before.
No need to worry tho..she was impeccably behaved, I have totally fallen in love with Anya, she responds as I expect Cupar too, not surprising as she sticks to him like glue, but she has become so affectionate and I notice her looking out for me now. Despite having been initially a client dog with aggression, she feels like my own dog now...I trust her responses. Only 9 months old still and just stunning. She is becoming friends with an unlikely choice - she seems to like another gsd female only 4 months her senior..also previously aggressive, who also shadows Cupar (he has a fondness for his big girls)
Cupar is exhausted, I love watching him greet all the dogs as they arrive at the gate. each one gets a hello sniff and lick to the muzzle. we had a runaway this month, a german pointer..the parkland we use has a gated carpark and is a long distance from any road, we placed a bet he had traced our steps back to the gate ..and there he was! first runaway we have had in years - usually the excitement of all the other dogs is enough for them not to wander...a coupe went under a fence too into some private land ... I showed Cupar off a bit and sent him in to catch up ..then whistle recalled him to bring them all back out. going to eave him sleeping and check up on what the o/h is up to now .
