I cant imagine, I do suspect everyone tho! lol I saw a cocker I had worked with once being walked by someone, in the direction away from where the dog lived...I let cupar off to get tangled up with the dog in play (they knew each other from when I worked with him) the girl walking him had to stop...so I made converstion - she didn't know me, - it was a new dog walker that they were using! we made friends after that and she came to work with me yesterday just for curiosity! But how many people would suspect anything?

Feel pretty safe here as out of the way but still would not leave Xena in any unsafe situation eg tied up outside shop anywhere, she stays in my car sometimes out side Morrisons but I always get the doorman to keep eye out for her could not take that chance have chatted to people who have had there dogs taken and for them it's the not knowing where they are or why they were taken not good so don't take any chances.Kristina
I never take Domino if i'm going to the shops unless its to one that lets me take him in. Its good practice for him both for lead walking and meeting people and other dogs, but i would never leave him tied outside a shop .........hes too nervous for it to be safe if a kid ran up to him etc and definately too tempting for a thief.
Cupes has to spend a lot of time in the car, when he works with a client I try to meet up where he can be on neutral territory and we can carry out the session out of doors or even in a carpark, so I can be with him all the time .. If the clients house has a driveway I can park in then I leave him in the car when he is waiting to work - so long as its not warm, but I wont leave him in the car if its parked on a roadside. Bootsie is a 'stay at home' mum, she has the fields to wander in when I am outside at home, but she tends to sit with me rather than run around or wander off, could never leave them tied up outside a shop and it shocks me that people do - it makes them a tethered target for children and other dogs yet alone thieves.
