A beautiful day today weather stunning my daughter came across from Manchester my old parents came up to my little bungalow and we all spent the afternoon in the garden,it was just a lovely relaxing time Xena played with her ball and this little pup just loves my old mum and Xena she is so gentle with her I am gob smacked she never jumps up at my mum just sits by her side and looks adoringly at her gives her gentle kisses too,she loves my dad too but he has a way with dogs anyway they all love him.We all had fish and chips outside in the sun it was an ace day.Hope you all had a good Saturday too.Kristina
Awwwe thats lovely Kristina, Xena sounds so adorable wish i could meet her. Glad you all had a lovely time together.
We had rain this morning first thing then grey and overcast till mid afternoon when the sun came through............too late for us we were on our way home by then. We had a lovely walk though out for ages but didnt get to far. Came across a pony in the field with its back leg caught up in its blanket so had to go back round to the stables and get Sarah to sort it out. Domino had a wee play with Dexter before we set off again. By now it was too late to head off for the walk i had planned so we just enjoyed a slow wander playing as we went then had to turn and come back the way we came as the field we usually go through had a padlock on the gate.......we'll have no fields left to play in at this rate. LOL Back at the stables we met Dexter again so we stopped for a bit longer this time and they had a good play together. Sarahs horse has cancer and hes due another operation to remove the tumours at a cost of £2500 she says horses cant be covered on insurance for cancer which seems a bit unfair.
I wonder why horses can't be covered for cancer? That seems bizarre, and very unfair.
Sounds like you two had lovely Saturdays. An afternoon in the garden or strolling in the sunshine is always a win in my eyes
Yesterday I had my hair done...so obviously the weather was glorious Wish I could've spent the day in the garden or walking with Sara, but never mind. Two of our friends had birthdays this week, so we went out for dinner in the evening to a mexican restaurant, and then back for a cake that I made them both. Both were yummy!
Today is shaping up to be another good day, and because it's Mother's Day I've invited my mum down for Sunday lunch.
we had crappy weather today.. the thick fog never lifted and the temp didn't get above 7 degrees. had a fabby pack walk tho ...over 20 dogs and not one ounce of bother, we were honoured to have a Scottish animal welfare group bring two rescue dogs along too.

I think fog can be just as beautiful as glorious sunshine, I find it eerie but also kind of magical walking in fog. Like you're cut off from the rest of the world
That sounds like a great turn out, and I see you raised a fantastic amount for your nominated charity! How amazing to have two rescues along for the fun, I've loved seeing the pictures from today and reading about the different doggies and how they got on.
thank you, the dogs that needed to gain experience show better behaviour each time, its slow because we only do them once a month, but they make lovey friendships too, we only had three today that needed help...and out of over twenty that have all had aggression issues in the past, that's not too bad, all three have had trauma, either through rescue or a fright, what I love is that all the owners know how it feels and there is no condemning or 'he should be on a lead' rubbish, they all know how wonderful it feels when their dogs achieve being with others and enjoying it. All my owners get along well too now and help each other .. I love holding them,

Fog here as well but stayed over the hills so it wasnt so bad. We met Cally the springer, Dominos girlfriend but she had to stay on lead cause of a leg issue so she was not too pleased and barked non stop the whole walk.
Brilliant Adrianne I would love to go on a pack walk like that 20 dogs altogether awesome I go round the woods with maybe 3/4 dogs at any one time then we go our seperate ways a big group of dogs together would be my dream of a walk.Kristina
