cupes has been out of action this week, he took his dew claw off at work last week, lucky that it doesn't touch the ground or he would have been in agony, it was just totally gone ..not a rip in the flesh or a little bit left..just completely out, I spoke to Jackie, she was a vet nurse for about 10 yrs before opening her grooming salon, and she said it was a procedure that she used to perform regularly..to pull them out when they needed it! ouch... The little fleshy bit that the nail surrounds must have been very tender.but 4 days on and it has started to grow again and he is as happy as can be ..back to work tomorrow!

Ooohh, ouch that sounds sore! Any idea how he took it off?
I didn't realise that if you pulled it off it would grow again, for some reason I thought that if you ripped it off our out, that it was gone for good.
thank you, he barely noticed, but its cleared up now, he would just move seats if I looked at it! and would lick at it a lot, but four days and its not even on his mind now.
