Been watching some of this on you tube video from Crufts and wondered why there is deductions given on the scores. I thought one of them did well but they lost marks for some reason! The winner did a brilliant routine! ?.......the only man in the competition.!
I dont know the rules to freestyle, but take a look at Richard Curtis at k9freestyle.co.uk he works alongside Mary Ray who demonstrates the Heelwork to Music at Crufts (there will be a double act today) My mum works with them both -I will ask her but I don't think she will have the answer cos she concentrates on obedience

I found lots of score sheets similar to this one here...and to be honest it doesn't help much either! I think it's all down to the judge's interpretation. The kennel club version is more detailed, and talks about levels of difficulty for the moves etc, but is still along similar lines.
Great website Adrianne, those videos are amazing to watch, such clever dogs! Tony makes it look soooo easy to do... wonderful control. It must be brilliant doing this with your dog.I am well impressed.
Wonderful performance as always by Mary Kay.I have actually spoken to this lady via phone many years ago one of her collies contracted Tetanus and as my old Breeze had also had this terrible virus, through my old trainer that used to be he gave me her phone no and I got in touch. We had a very long conversation she told me what the vets did for her collie and I said what my vet did for Breeze much the same, she also said that her lovely collie was never quiet the same and she had to retire him from the show ring, that would be at least 14yrs ago now,but what a lovely lady she is.Kristina
