We're getting Tommy "done" tomorrow, I'm dreading it! Last time he had the cone of shame on he was a bloody nightmare! Crying all night etc.. So I hope he copes better this time. Wish us luck! X
If he's not a big fan of the cone, you can get inflatable collars that do the same job, I don't know if your vet or P@H sell them? They're much more comfortable and less scary and restrictive than the cone of shame.
Fingers and paws crossed for little Tommy and his baubles!
Ye I was thinking of getting one of them but they're not on pets at home website so doubt they'll sell them in store Might see if the vets sell them xx
Aww bless him,I am sure he will be just fine, hope that all will go well I had the inflatable cone for dodge, only thing you will have to watch with them is when he iis cratching his neck he can swivvel the cone around, the velcro must sit at the top of the neck . . . . if velcro is at the bottom he will be able to reach round, dodge took one stitch out the little sod ! But so much better,he can play/drink/walk through the house without bumping into things . . . your vet should have them huni
I'm annoyed already! Martins just rang me to tell me that the vet lady dragged him to the room by the scruff of the neck saying "aw good boy" pick him up!! Don't want more stuff added to my bill!! Sorry rant over lol xx
He's doing fine, just sulking haha! I've haven't got a cone on him, and he doesn't seem interested in the wound so will just see how he goes. Feel so sorry for him lol x
Oh bless him he will be fine,he might not even need the So Called Color!! most dogs will leave a wound well alone, both my old girls had ops and never bothered at all to mess about with there stitches,as for the scruff thing I would not be happy either but afraid it is the way things are just watch a few vet programmes they all do it and guess it's just a few seconds so dog knows no different so don't be taking it too personally he's going home to people that love him and thats the main thing.Kristina
Oh I would ve questioned what the hell they was doing to my boy ! We dropped him off and my lord I left in tears, even though he was trotting away to the back room with not even so much as a glance back towards us little sod lol ! If I would ve known back then that I had the right to stay until he was asleep,I would ve stayed . . . hubby was glad I never knew though !!
Dont be lulled into a false sense of security,he wont bother with his wound yet,of course not . . . he will however try to lick it once he has come round properly and when things are healing as that is when the scar will start itching . . . . be prepared at least Bet he is all sleepy right now dear of him, hope he will heal quickly my dear
