Elwood is my big and beautiful Snowshoe cat

Who is tall of stature and just a 'bit' fat

He is always generous and never mean

And likes to take part in the household routine

Whilst giving a commentary about this and that.

Is he a cuddly cat? He looks like one who'd like a cuddle...but I've never been good at reading cats!

I love the limerick, it gives a fantastic description of Elwood, I can picture the kind of personality he has. Where did you get his name from?

Elwood P Dowd is played by James Stewart in the film Harvey about an imaginary 6' rabbit. The character of Elwood is of a kind, gentle, amiable man who is nice to and trusts everyone - 'always generous and never mean' I thought the name perfect for Elwood.

He loves me to stretch my legs out on the settee as he is too big to sit on my knee so he likes to lay stretched out on my legs but he tends to roll about when he's chatting and he's always rolling off. He adores chatting and will sit in front of me giving me direct eye contact and chat away - as long as I chat back of course.
