you thought your dog had a stroke?

Cant believe this woman i was speaking to never took her dog to the vet when she got ill and couldnt walk properly. She said she had a previous dog that had a stroke so she knew what was wrong and there was nothing a vet could do! The dog was moving about okay but i think it couldnt see properly in the left eye as it was bumping into things at that side. I would have been to the vet to have it checked over incase there was something else going on or at least get a definate diagnosis of a stroke.

What would you do?

I would defo go the vets!! Like you said you don't know if there's more complications and the vets might be able to give the dog something to make them feel better too! Cos they can't feel very good after a bloody stroke!? Wow that's unbelievable :/ x

My dog would be in to the vet as quick as my little car could get them there!

What if there was an underlying condition, waiting to strike again or cause more problems? The walking issues could be due to arthritis, joint/tendon issues or anything, not necessarily a stroke...the dog's life could have been made more comfortable
