they are beautiful, I think I would be a danger to fish, we had a tank once, had some tiny wee frogs in it that used to bob up and down, just brilliant, I found it difficult to keep properly so it went to a better home!

Well yesterday we added 3 starfish and 2 more giant snails Will have to try and get pics. The starfish are pretty but don't seem to do much! They are lazy!

Wow !! That looks like bl**dy hard work   but absolutely stunning,love the colours !!! We had a fishtank once,all the cleaning and looking after it ended up being my job ( I was not even home when hubby and kids bought it,I was in germany visiting my poorly mum !!  ) well the poor fishies,none of them made it   one by one gone down the loo . . . . . 

Maybe I should ve joined a fish forum back then

Dani, this one is fab as we don't have to do anything. The cupboard at the bottom contains everything, we only change 15% of the water 4 times a year! It's simple!

Hmm...I thought I had more recent pics of the inside, will have to have a look. Basically the water falls down the blue pipe in the tank, then down into the first chamber where the protein is skimmed from the water. Then it falls over into the next chamber where it gets filtered and heated, then over into the next chamber where the pump pushes it back up through another pipe into the tank itself, and it puts it in with force so its oxygenated.

Coar blimey Sarah . . . . I feel cheated   . . . . . . one thing I definitely made the boys do is 'suck up' when it was time to change the water,no way was I going to do that ewwww   . . . . . looks like you ve got it absolutely 100 % sorted there,I m jealous hehe

I didn't realise it had all of that tucked under there, sarahhound! Wow, if ever we get a tank I'm definitely getting that kind of kit.

The other thing is we have starfish, shrimps, snails and hermit crabs, all of which keep the tank itself clean by eating algae
